Overview of Country Manager @ Tiendanube

Tasked with driving short-term growth hiring and managing the in-country commercial and marketing teams, Tiendanube is on the lookout for a Country Manager to join them in Mexico. This challenging role requires a strong leader with business vision and entrepreneurial experience who can build a high-performing team from scratch. 

In this managerial role, you will be responsible for:
- Achieving the company's targets in terms of merchants, revenue and managing costs in line with forecasted and projected budgets. 
- Coordinating the company's commercial and marketing efforts while adapting the global strategy to the Mexican market. 
- Determining the best distribution methods for Tiendanube's product in the Mexican market, with a heavy reliance on third-party integrations for adaptation and extension. 
- Building a network of partners and working alongside partner agencies to develop functionalities and tech solutions. 
- Making Tiendanube a high performing organization in Mexico by implementing good practices across the organization, eliminating roadblocks and prioritizing workloads. 
- Working closely with the CMO and CCO to align overall company targets, then communicating the company vision to the local team.

They're after someone with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Economy, Business Administration, Finance or Marketing (or similar) plus four to seven years of experience in tech, e-commerce or SaaS companies. You'll have spent at least two years working during the formative years of a small business, with the ability to do a lot with limited resources and people. 

It's essential that you're adaptable and resilient, with outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-level strategy planning without sacrificing day-to-day operations. Aside from having superior project and time management skills, you know how to push a tech product in a new market and have demonstrated success in the growth of a business. With sound communication skills, you can clearly explain complex ideas and inspire those around you. They're seeking a native Spanish speaker who's also fluent in Spanish, with Portuguese language skills a plus.
